Volkswagen has expanded the range of basic and optional equipment for the Touareg crossover.
According to the brand’s press service on January 27, the Business R-Line model now comes standard with the IQ.Light package, which includes matrix LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, dynamic high beam control, LED taillights with dynamic turn signal and headlight washer.
For the Business version, the “IQ.Drive Plus” package is now optionally available, which includes traffic jam assistant, intersection traffic assistant, automatic piloting system, lane keeping system, emergency stop assistant, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring system.
The car in the Exclusive version is now equipped with the “Safety” package, which includes front airbags for driver and passenger, knee airbags for driver and passenger, side airbags and curtain airbags front and rear.
In addition, the vehicle can now optionally be equipped with an electrically operated towbar, as well as a trailer maneuvering assistance system.
In Russia, the Volkswagen Touareg crossover is offered with a 4Motion all-wheel drive system and a 249 hp diesel engine. The gearbox is an eight-speed automatic. The cost of the model starts from 5,587,000 rubles.
On November 3, it was reported that Volkswagen introduced the new ID.5 coupe-crossover. Sales of the model will begin in Europe in 2022.
The car is built on the basis of the ID.4 crossover. The drag coefficient is 0.26. In the European market, the model will be offered in Pro, Pro Performance and GTX modifications.
