Governor Martín Llaryora expressed his satisfaction and highlighted the importance of this achievement.

“Córdoba has its Clean Record law! I congratulate the legislators of our province for the approval of this very relevant norm,” the president shared on his social networks. In addition, he recognized the work of Gastón Marra in promoting this proposal at the national level: “I want to highlight the work of those, like him, who have promoted this initiative for our country.”

The project, which was approved with massive support from legislators from different political forceshighlights the consensus achieved between the ruling party and the opposition. Without directly alluding to the failed efforts of the national government to advance a similar measure, Llaryora emphasized: “This result reflects the value of dialogue and the construction of agreements. “In Córdoba we demonstrated that it is possible to work together, beyond partisan differences.”

“The Clean Record Law reinforces the principles of ethics and transparency, ensuring that those who aspire to public office meet the highest standards of integrity,” the governor added. He also highlighted that this regulation places the province as a leader in the construction of a more fair and representative policy: “It is an achievement of all the people of Córdoba!”

The new regulations, which modify the Provincial Electoral Code, will prevent people with second-instance convictions from accessing elective or executive positions. This advance represents a joint effort between proposals presented by the UCR and the Hacemos por Córdoba bloc, after several modifications and committee meetings.

With the support of 65 legislators, the Clean Record Law seeks to strengthen institutions and promote greater transparency in public management, establishing a standard of suitability that marks the path towards a more ethical policy committed to society.
