The alert originated after a complaint from an individual to the National Food Institute (INAL). From there, the Department of Health and Nutritional Surveillance of Foods made inquiries through the Federal Information System for Food Control Management (SIFeGA)confirming the illegality of the product.
The agency based its decision on the need to protect public health. Finally, the population was urged to avoid the consumption of this article and the jurisdictional authorities to intensify controls to guarantee compliance with the provision.

The ANMAT prohibited the production, marketing and distribution of various perfumes and flavorings of the brand “Sapphire” throughout the national territory and on online sales platforms. The measure was made effective by the authorities through the Provision 11369/2024 published in the Official Gazette of the date.
