It is a work of science fiction where the earth was devastated by extraterrestrial invasions. It stars Chloë Grace Moretz and the script was adapted by Susannah Grant, Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner.

Max: what The Fifth Wave is about
The Earth has been the victim of 4 waves of a planned extraterrestrial invasion that devastated all of humanity in its path. The story focuses on Cassie Sullivan, who is searching for her little brother, Olliver, while trying to survive everyday life with another group of people in a similar situation.
Upon learning that her brother was kidnapped by aliens, known as “the others”, Cassie sets out to save him and to do so she has to convince a group of people to help her. In this way he meets Evan Walker, a mysterious young man who does not know if he is an ally or enemy, but together they will try to fight the aliens and survive this new invasive wave, the fifth.
This film explores themes of survival, resistance and the fight for humanity in a world in ruins.
