The Chinese company Chery presented in Russia an updated seven-seat crossover Tiggo 8.
As stated in a press release received by the editors of Izvestia on January 31, the car received a new grille and modified LED running lights. A panoramic roof, atmospheric lighting, electric adjustment of the passenger front seat in four directions have been added to the equipment of the model. In addition, the quality of the surround view cameras has been improved. The model will be offered in six solid colors: black, white, red, blue, gray and silver.
The car received a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 147 hp. six-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches DCT6. The crossover accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds.
Sales of the updated crossover Chery Tiggo 8 in the Russian market will begin in February.
On June 29, it became known that Chery is considering the possibility of starting sales of cars with electric propulsion in Russia in the next two years.
At the moment, the company is preparing the necessary package of technical documentation for certification of vehicles, conducting marketing research, and preparing for testing electric vehicles in the conditions of Russian roads and climate.
