The German company Mercedes-Benz has suspended the acceptance of applications for G-Class SUVs since January 17 due to the high demand for the model.
According to MBPassionBlog, to date, the delivery of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class to customers has stretched to the fourth quarter of 2024. It is possible that delays in deliveries are caused by a global shortage of semiconductors and problems with logistics at the assembly plant.
According to the publication, 41,174 such SUVs were sold worldwide in 2021 – and this is the best result since the launch of the original model with the W460 index in 1979. It is noted that in 2024 there will be a fully electric version of the G-Class, as well as an updated version of the SUV.
On December 2, it was reported that Mercedes-Benz had unveiled the Project Maybach concept car.
The main features of the car were a long hood, a wide grille, round headlights and lanterns, cameras instead of side mirrors, lining on the arches, a power bumper and a roof rack. Of the interesting accessories that are present in the car, one can single out an ax located in a special compartment to the left of the driver.
