On February 4, the Metropolitan State Traffic Inspectorate in its official Telegram channel reminded motorists of the sanctions for driving while intoxicated.
“Friday is on the calendar again, again pleasant meetings and gatherings with friends and loved ones. We hasten to warn you against rash actions – if the evening is not complete without alcohol, then it is better to leave the car in the parking lot, ”the department noted.
So, for driving while intoxicated, the driver may be deprived of the right to drive a vehicle for a period of 1.5 to 2 years. In addition, violators face a fine of 30 thousand rubles. For a repeated violation, criminal liability is provided, up to imprisonment for up to two years.
It is noted that in 2021, more than 1.5 thousand criminal cases were initiated in Moscow on the grounds of a crime, liability for which is provided for by Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person subjected to administrative punishment or having a criminal record.”
On November 8, the Russian State traffic inspectorate reminded drivers of the sanctions for driving into the oncoming lane.
According to the agency, administrative responsibility for driving into the oncoming lane is provided for in Part 4 of Art. 12.15 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. According to the document, a fine in the amount of 5 thousand rubles or deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of four to six months is provided for the specified violation of traffic rules.
