In Moscow, you can rent Volkswagen Tiguan, Toyota RAV4, Kia Soul, Audi A4, Mitsubishi Outlander, Haval Jolion and new Tesla Model 3 electric cars in car sharing services. This was announced on February 4 by the official Telegram channel of the Moscow Department of Transport.
It is noted that the average age of a car in the car sharing service is two years, and operators take cars out of the park for more than three years. So, last year, 4.3 thousand old cars dropped out of the service, but 8.5 thousand new cars were added.
To date, Delimobil has more than 4,500 carsharing cars in operation, CityDrive has 3,000 cars, and BelkaCar has 1,000 cars.
According to Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for transport issues, 30,000 cars of the short-term rental service replace 90,000 personal cars. In 2021, companies received more than 275 million rubles to upgrade their fleet and replace 11.9 thousand vehicles.
On September 14, it became known that in Moscow the average cost of a trip by car sharing car is 321 rubles.
There are about six trips per day for one car sharing car. The average length of the route is 16 km. At the same time, the average duration of the trip reaches 37 minutes.
