On February 7, the Metropolitan State Traffic Inspectorate warned motorists and pedestrians in its Telegram channel about worsening weather conditions in Moscow.
“Warming is coming to Moscow, and with it black ice,” weather forecasters warn. Temperatures are expected to be above zero tomorrow afternoon. Due to such drops, it will be slippery on roads and pedestrian zones, so both drivers and pedestrians should avoid rushing,” the ministry said.
The Moscow traffic police advised drivers to avoid sudden maneuvers on the roads, and pedestrians to carefully look under their feet and be extremely careful near the carriageway.
On August 6, the Russian State Traffic Inspectorate named the most common violations of the Rules of the Road (SDA) that lead to accidents.
Thus, the most frequent violations of traffic rules in Russia are driving at a traffic light, non-observance of the distance, severe speeding, and drunk driving.
