The Swedish company Volvo has released an updated crossover XC40. The model is already available for order in Europe.
According to Autoreview, the design of the front end is now unified with the related Volvo C40 electric car. The XC40 crossover has headlights beveled at the bottom and a front bumper with vertical side sections. In addition, there are new rims, body colors and finishing materials in the cabin. But the interior itself has not changed.
The car is offered with 129, 163, 197 and 250 hp engines. In addition, two plug-in hybrids are available, with power outputs of 211 and 262 hp. respectively.
Finally, there are two electric versions. The front-wheel drive Recharge Single Motor is a single electric motor with 231 hp, and the all-wheel drive Recharge Twin Motor has two motors with a total output of 408 hp.
On December 8, it was reported that Volvo plans to bring cars with a fourth level autopilot to the Russian market in 2025.
According to the expert, Volvo strives to minimize human involvement in driving. Level 4 Autopilot allows the car to drive completely on its own. But only with the participation of a person as a controller. If necessary, the driver must take control of the car in his own hands.
