Alfa Romeo has introduced a new crossover Tonale

The Italian company Alfa Romeo has introduced a new mid-size crossover Tonale. This is reported by “Autoreview”.

It is noted that Tonale is the name of a pass in the Alps, located near the Stelvio Pass. In the Alfa Romeo lineup, the novelty will replace the Giulietta hatchback (its production was discontinued back in 2020) to become the most affordable and mass model.

Alfa Rome Tonale is 4528 mm long, 1835 mm wide and 1604 mm high. The suspension can only be spring-loaded, amplitude-dependent Koni shock absorbers are installed as standard, and adaptive shock absorbers are offered for a surcharge. Wheels – from 17 to 20 inches in diameter.

The interior is equipped with a sports steering wheel, seats with side support, as well as a media system with a 10.25-inch screen and the possibility of remote updating.

The car is equipped with power units ranging from 130 to 272 hp. Tonale will be released in Italy. Sales of the model in the European market will begin in autumn 2022.

On December 8, it was reported that Volvo plans to bring cars with a fourth level autopilot to the Russian market in 2025.

According to the expert, Volvo strives to minimize human involvement in driving. Level 4 Autopilot allows the car to drive completely on its own. But only with the participation of a person as a controller. If necessary, the driver must take control of the car in his own hands.
