Citizens from 18 provinces and CABA can already renew their online driving license. This initiative of the national government simplifies the procedure, eliminating the need for face -to -face assistance.
From this Monday, the citizens of 18 Argentine provinces and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA) will be able to renew or expand their national driver’s license online, thus avoiding the face -to -face procedure in the licensing centers. This measure seeks to offer greater comfort and unbourty the system.
What are the adhered provinces
The provinces that adhered to this new modality promoted by the government are: Santa Fe, Neuquén, Mendoza, Catamarca, Chaco, Salta, Jujuy, Chubut, Corrientes, Misiones, La Rioja, Entre Ríos, San Luis, La Pampa, Tierra del Fuego, San Juan, Santa Cruz and Río Negro. The rest of the districts are expected to join the bureaucratic processes throughout the country.

The digital driver’s license is available on the Mi Argentina platform and will be valid to circulate throughout the national territory without the need to submit the physical license.
Current licenses that still do not require renewal will be automatically updated in the system and will be available at the Mi Argentina app to be presented to the relevant controls.
This initiative, announced on March 18 by the Ministry of Deregulation and the Ministry of Transportation of the Ministry of Economy through Decree 196/2025, is part of a package of national government measures to deregulate, modernize and expedite procedures for citizens. The licenses that are processed for the first time will also be digital, although they can be requested physically, paying an additional cost for printing.
Digital License: How is the renewal process
To manage the renewal of the national driver’s license, citizens must:
- Enter lncargentina.
- Validate your personal data.
- Select the process to be carried out: renewal and/or license expansion.
- If the professional license is chosen, indicate if it is for interjurisdictional transport.
- Pay the paper tickets chosen through the available options.
- Choose the providers to do the courses and exams required according to the license being processed.
- The results of the health exams (psychophysical) and the courses, once approved, will be loaded in the system by the providers.
- After the procedure, the digital license will be available in my Argentina.
- To obtain the physical version, contact the licensed emitting center in the jurisdiction where it was processed.
Provinces in Treatments
The provinces of Córdoba, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero and Buenos Aires are in treatment to sign their adherence to the new regulations soon.
The new National Digital Driver’s license has high security standards. The inspectors enabled to carry out vehicular controls will have access to the national system to verify in real time the driver’s data, allowing more efficient control and reinforcing the traceability of the information.
Offline options
In case of not having a signal or running out of battery, citizens can:
- Download a QR code with a 24 -hour validity to show it without connection.
- Use a digital license screenshot, provided that the QR code is visible for control, with a validity of 24 hours.
- Continue using the physical version of the license for those who prefer to count on it.
- With this implementation, the National Government takes another step towards the simplification and digitalization of public services, facilitating access to procedures more efficiently and safely.
