“Velocissimo” – “Fasting fast” – was the motto of this year’s Fuori Concorso on Lake Como. The most legendary racing cars from the history of Italy were shown.
Lake Como is known for its La Dolce Vita Flair, for magnificent villas, the elegant Riva boats-and for its legendary car events, which come from all over the world every year. In addition to the traditional Concorso d’Elanza Villa d’Este in Cernobbio, Fuori Concorso has also established itself as one of the most stylish auto events in neighboring Como in recent years.
The event launched by Guglielmo Miani, owner of the Milan fashion label Larusmiani, takes place in the picturesque, centuries -old gardens around the magnificent, historical villas del Grumello and Sucota. On the green hills, collectibles are pricelessly exhibited, lovingly arranged in a breathtaking backdrop, with a view of the glittering comer See and its past boats and planes.
Unaffected Italian racing cars
This year everything was under the motto “Velocissimo” – Italian for “rapidly fast”, a tribute to the history of Italian motorsport. The most legendary and most important racing cars in Italy were shown: Formula 1 legends, famous rally vehicles, historical racing classics and modern super sports cars-all with roots in cities such as Turin, Modena and Maranello and with racing history from Monza to Mille Miglia. Compiled from private collections and in -house museums of the Italian automobile manufacturers. Icons that you otherwise rarely get to see, close to gripping.
