The Argentine automotive market continues to rise: during May they were patented 55,363 new vehicleswhich represents a 59.1% increase compared to the same month of 2024according to the Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (Acara).

Compared to April of this year, there was also an improvement, although slight, with a 0.6% rise. With these numbers, the accumulated of the first five months of 2025 reaches the 272,837 unitsthat is, a 78.9% more that in the same period of the previous year.


Among the most chosen models by the Argentines were the Toyota Yarisfollowed by the Fiat Cronos and the Peugeot 208which reflects a preference for compact cars and national or regional production.

The good moment of the sector was one of the main themes in a recent meeting between representatives of the automotive terminals grouped in ADEFA and the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputoin which a total sale of 620,000 units for all 2025.
