The Chinese company Chery has begun sales in Russia of the updated seven-seat crossover Tiggo 8. This is stated in a press release received by the editors of Izvestia on February 16.
The car received a new grille and modified LED running lights. A panoramic roof, atmospheric lighting, electric adjustment of the passenger front seat in four directions have been added to the equipment of the model. In addition, the quality of the surround view cameras has been improved. The model will be offered in six solid colors: black, white, red, blue, gray and silver.
A 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 147 hp is installed on the crossover. six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission DCT6. The crossover accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds.
The updated Chery Tiggo 8 will be offered in the Prestige package. The list of equipment includes all-LED optics, light sensor and headlight delay function, leather interior with electrically adjustable front seats, all-round visibility system in combination with front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, rain sensor, dual-zone climate control, atmospheric interior lighting , six airbags. The cost of the crossover starts from 1,999,000 rubles.
On June 29 last year, it became known that Chery is considering the possibility of starting sales of cars with electric propulsion in Russia in the next two years.
At the moment, the company is preparing the necessary package of technical documentation for certification of vehicles, conducting marketing research, and preparing for testing electric vehicles in the conditions of Russian roads and climate.
