Enzo Ferrari once called the new edition of the Millia Miglia, originally extended between 1927 and 1957, the “unique hiking museum in the world”. And there should hardly be any more spectacular classics in one place than there every year in mid -June. For many years, the former street race has been extended as a historical uniformity race with more than 100 marking tests.

As for the vehicles, 127 pre-war models take part in the 43rd new edition of the red arrow event. 78 of them come from the historical race between 1927 and 1957, when the field with every year with a slightly changing route at the fast pace from Brescia to Rome and back again – this time around 1,900 kilometers – a little more than the former 1,000 Miglia.

In millioners, there are numerous classics from such traditional manufacturers as Mercedes, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Fiat, BMW, Bugatti, Bentley, Porsche or Alfa Romeo. Unique in the field: the Biondetti Ferrari-Jaguar Special. Favorite this year: The driver’s double from Andrea Vesco and Fabio Salvinelli, who are aiming for their fifth victory in 1929 at the wheel of Alfa Romeo 1750 SS Zagato.
