Argentine yerba mate participates in the Gulfood fair in Dubai

The participating yerba mate establishments from Misiones underline the product’s growth potential in the Middle East and summarize as “very positive” the balance recorded by the presence of Argentine yerba mate at the Gulfood Dubai fair.

In addition to Álvez, María Marta Oria, deputy manager of Promotion and Development of the INYM, accompany the herbal establishments that requested support to be present at this food fair; considered the most important in the United Arab Emirates and the gateway to the Middle East.

“The work carried out by importers to position Argentine yerba mate is very important, and they are also here, along with the firms that participate in the fair,” Oria stressed.

Meanwhile, Gustavo Redondo, Commercial Corporate Manager of the Santa Ana Establishment, pointed out that, “to begin with, we were pleasantly surprised by the number of visitors who are attending, from our point of view, it exceeded in number those who visited it in pre-pandemic times. “,

Along the same lines, Gerardo Koropeski, from the Hreñuk SA firm, also expressed surprise at the call for the fair and at the interest in yerba mate.

“We have had many companies visit our stand to see the possibilities of entering different Gulf countries with our brand, which for us is very good news,” he enthused.

The importance of this fair lies in its proximity to Syria; country that concentrates 80% of shipments and is the main export destination of Argentine yerba mate.

“From what I was able to observe, Álvez pointed out, consumers in this region are very interested in the origin and I had the opportunity to explain how it is harvested and reaches these markets with excellent quality,” he said.
