Spring collections of clothing from Russian manufacturers will hit stores with a delay of at least two weeks. This was told to Izvestia by representatives of the brands I Am Studio, Ksenia Knyazeva, Naumi. Delays in tailoring were also confirmed in The Snow Queen.
Tailoring of the new collection is delayed by both domestic and international production. The reason is the mass morbidity of shop workers, whose work has to be suspended due to quarantine.
The founder of the Ksenia Knyazeva brand, Ksenia Knyazeva, told Izvestia that the spring collection was supposed to arrive from the tailoring shop on February 16, but was delayed in production for at least two weeks.
“For us, this is critical, since buyers update their wardrobe with a new collection in the spring, that is, the start of its sales is a high season with increased demand. Now, for example, in the costume group, we did not receive both the top and bottom in the delivery – one of these came in, ”Oleg Voronin, the owner of the I Am Studio brand, warned.
According to him, at the moment, delays in tailoring can lead to a loss of 5% of annual revenue, but if the situation drags on, companies can lose much more.
The chairman of the board of directors of the Nordtex textile group of companies, Yuri Yablokov, in turn, said that now the staff shortage is 10% – this is part of the people who are on sick leave.
“If last year the key problems for the fashion industry were the increase in the cost of logistics and raw materials, then this year it is the instability in production,” Mikhail Burmistrov, CEO of Infoline-Analytics, confirmed.
