The Government announced a new deregulation that favors exports

The government took a step forward with a new measure of deregulation aimed at reducing costs and expediting processes in foreign trade. Specifically, various demands were suppressed that until now complicated the use and transfer of wood packaging such as pallets, boxes or support structures used for the export of products.

Previously, those who operated with these packaging had to meet multiple procedures, obtain authorizations and present specific documents, even if the wood already underwent treatments that meet international health standards. With the implementation of resolution 450/25 of the National Service of Agrifood Health and Quality (Senasa), these obligations are simplified and even eliminated in certain cases.

One of the most important changes is that It will no longer be necessary to process the electronic plant sanitary traffic document (DTV-E) to transport wood packaging that do not contain plant products. In addition, factories and treatment centers may begin to operate automatically after presenting a sworn statement, without waiting for previous authorizations. Senasa will maintain the power to perform inspections, but these will be carried out in short deadlines and without interrupting the activity.
