A week ago, the oil prices fell after relaxation in the Middle East, the fuel prices are only hesitant – especially a fuel is much more expensive than before the crisis.
Even a week after relaxation in the Middle East, the sagging of oil prices has only partially arrived at the petrol stations. In particular, diesel is still much more expensive than before the crisis, as numbers of the ADAC show. But even with super gasoline there are still a few cents of the old level – the oil price in euros has long been back where it was before the attacks.
Specifically, the ADAC determined a price of 1.616 euros per liter on Sundays at Diesel. That was 7.8 cents more than on June 12th – the day before the start of the attacks. At Superzinzin in the E10 variety, it was 1.688 euros per liter on Sunday – three cents more than on June 12th.
ADAC: In particular, diesel should still give in
“In view of the oil prices that have fallen again compared to the center of the month and the increasingly increasing euro compared to the US dollar, there is potential for further declining prices for the fuel prices,” says ADAC. “In particular, the price of diesel fuel, which had increased more than gasoline in recent weeks, should give in even more clearly.”
The oil price is typically the most important driver for fluctuations in the fuel prices. However, depending on the region and time of day, there are sometimes big differences. Especially in the morning, petrol and diesel are usually significantly more expensive than in the evening.
