More than 220,000 new balcony power plants in the first half of the year

The inventory has recently left the million limit – and the boom continues.

The number of balcony power plants in Germany rose by more than 220,000 in the first half of the year. As of June 30th, the Federal Network Agency 1,009,390 of these systems were registered on Tuesday. The actual number is likely to be a little higher, since there is a one -month period for late registrations and despite the obligation not all systems are registered.

The growth in the first half of the year is roughly at the level of the previous year. Carsten Körnig from the Federal Association of Solar Economy has not yet seen any relevant degradation: “Plug -in solar devices are still very popular. We are expecting a persistently high demand,” he says. Drivers are above all the legal relief that has been decided under the last federal government, as well as the prices for the plants that have since fallen.

In addition, it could contribute to the boom that more and more well -known trading companies have been running the devices in their range. “This should strengthen perception that balcony power plants have arrived in the middle of society,” says Körnig.

Highest density in Lower Saxony

Most of the balcony power plants are – hardly surprisingly in the most populous federal states of North Rhine -Westphalia and Bavaria with a good 200,000 or a good 150,000. However, if you put the number of power plants in relation to the number of households raised by the Federal Statistical Office in order to establish better comparability, Lower Saxony and Rhineland-Palatinate are ahead. Almost 34 or almost 31 plants come there on 1,000 households. Brandenburg with a good 28 and Schleswig-Holstein with more than 27 are also clearly above the nationwide average of just under 25.

The lowest density, on the other hand, can be found in the city -states, whereby Hamburg is at just under 8 per 1,000. Here the structure of the building stock should be the decisive negative factor. Among the area countries, on the other hand, NRW and Bavaria, of all people, with a good 23 or almost 24 plants per 1,000 households.
