Russian oil manager falls from the 17th floor – preliminary cause of death “suicide”
In Russia, a top manager from the oil industry fell from a high-rise under mysterious circumstances. A clear case for the state media: very likely suicide.
The mysterious death of a manager in Russia makes headlines worldwide: in Moscow the vice chief of the Russian oil company Transneft, Andrej Badalow, died from a window after falling.
The dead man was found under the window of a house in the Rubljowka villa settlement, the state news agency TASS reported, citing police circles. This part of Moscow is considered a kind of “Beverly Hills” of the Russian capital. The energy sector is Russia’s most important foreign exchange charm in times of war.
“Suicide is considered a preliminary cause of death,” said Tass on Badalov’s death. However, window falls keep causing a sensation in Russia. The agency TASS is considered the mouthpiece of the Kremlin.
Transneft managers should have fallen out of the 17th floor
The manager fell out of the window of his apartment on the 17th floor on Friday morning, reports the “Bild” newspaper and relies on the Telegram Canal Mash. A security guard found the dead.
Badalow was 62 years old. Since 2021 he has held his post at the state pipeline company Transneft and was responsible for digitization. Before that, he worked in the armaments industry and at an institute that organized the digitization of the elections, among other things.
Window falls in management in Russia are not so rare
It is not the first mysterious death of a high -ranking manager in the Russian energy sector since the beginning of Wladimir Putin against Ukraine ordered by Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin. In the autumn 2022, the CEO of the Moscow oil company Lukoil, Rawil Maganow, also died out of the window of a Moscow hospital when falling.
A few months earlier, two high -ranking energy managers had been found dead every few days – together with their families. In all cases, the investigators did not start from a criminal background.
Window falls and other unusual deaths of national workers and top managers or even cultural workers in Russia keep causing a sensation. In most cases, men and women were torn from life.
