According to a survey, the purchase interest in air conditioning systems has decreased. Around every seventh plans to purchase such a system, as can be seen from a current survey on behalf of the Heidelberg consumer portal Verivox. The survey is available to the German Press Agency. Last year, about every fifth in the survey said that they wanted to buy an air conditioning system.
More than 1,000 Germans between the ages of 18 and 69 took part in the online survey on the first three July days – it was hot in the period.
Owners are in the minority
Most Germans pass unchanged without air conditioning. In the current survey, 17.9 percent stated that they were using a device at home. Almost two thirds of them use a mobile device, a so -called monoblock. These tend to be cheaper, but less efficient than installed systems.
Last year, 20.5 percent of the participants had been affirming to use air conditioning at home. Innofact’s opinion researchers do not rate the difference as significant. This means that a change cannot be proven.
Heat pumps can also cool
Verivox suspects that the retirement interest can be accompanied by high electricity costs and an increasing number of heat pumps that would also be used for cooling.
The Fachverband Bauen-Klima from Ludwigsburg announced that heat pumps can also have a cooling function on request. So-called air-water heat pumps needed certain radiators.
