The carmaker rejected the presentation. “We do not perceive uncertainty in the workforce and see no reason for this. Since the beginning we have been offering our employees a safe, permanent and highly attractive job.”

The Gigafactory in Grünheide in Brandenburg opened in 2022. It is the largest industrial employer in Brandenburg. Tesla targeted 500,000 cars a year for production in Grünheide in a first phase, there are plans to double the target number to one million a year.
