If the occurrence is confirmed, the greatest find in Poland has been at least since the Second World War, said Polish chief geologist Krzysztof Galos from the Pap news agency. Funding could begin in three to four years. Then the field will cover four to five percent of the annual Polish oil requirement for several years, Galos said. CEP has had a license for exploration off the western Polish coast since 2017.
