Citizens’ allowance, pension and duties – craft requires reforms
The social security contributions have increased, which is burdened by companies. How big the problem is from the point of view of the craft.
Crafts President Jörg Dittrich sees the social security systems in serious difficulties. “We are sitting in a ship that has a leak on the fuselage. And if we don’t seal it soon, the barge will completely go under,” said Dittrich of the German Press Agency. The President of the Central Association of the German Crafts (ZDH) spoke out in favor of increasing social security contributions for fundamental reforms. The citizen benefit should not be a “election service”, he criticized.

But that is no longer possible.” By establishing commissions, the Federal Government obviously tries to push around unpopular but necessary decisions.
Dittrich: Free pension with 63 belongs to the test bench
“We finally need a sustainable overall concept and an honest view,” said the craftsman’s president. “An ever smaller group of the younger ones cannot stand alone for the fact that there were too few children and now too many pensioners.” That is why the tee -free pension at 63 belongs to the test. “Too many people use them and they are missing in the work process. Instead of a rigid flat -rate age limit for everyone, more flexible solutions would probably be fairer based on the employment biographies.” In the sense of the smaller group of young people, society should once again be spoken of in the age of life over the retirement age, he said.
“Citizens’ allowance must not be an election service”
The craft president also called for a reform of the citizens ‘allowance: “The citizens’ benefit must not be an option. The people who need it should get it, but it must be clearly linked to the need.” This must be “communicated clearly”.
He continued: “There are too many people who have the impression that you can choose and choose: go to work or receive citizenship, depending on what is more.” This ensures the principle of personal responsibility for many difficult -working top performers in the craft. “This means that employees now tell me.”
