Due to state guarantees, a dividend at Siemens Energy would have been banned for the current financial year. But there is an exception.
Siemens Energy may pay a dividend to its shareholders one year earlier than expected. The Bundestag’s budget committee has given the group permission to release part of the profits to the shareholders for the financial year, which was still running until the end of September, as the company announced. Actually, a restriction would have been made because Energy had used state re -guarantees, which have now been returned.
Siemens Energy has so far paid out a dividend since Siemens split off: in 2021 it was 10 cents per share. After that, the group fell into a crisis with high losses, but from which it has now freed himself. Energy made a profit again last year, but was not allowed to distribute a dividend because of the guarantees.
How high the payment will be depends, among other things, how much profit energy will make in the current year. The current forecast promises a surplus of up to one billion euros. In principle, the group wants to distribute 40 to 60 percent of them.
