The first of the resolutions confirms that the AET must be equivalent to 20% of the invoicing for the sale of LPG (net of taxes) that the companies invoice monthly for the product destined for the Hogar Program (Hogares con Garrafas).
Resolution 89 specifies the distribution of $168,583,282.05 between 60 distributors, three fractionators and three producers, while in the last of the aforementioned regulations the same is done with $45,000,456.61 for 30 distributors and one fractionator.
In both regulations, the AET was set at $4,722.40 for each invoiced ton, when the destination was other than the sale to distributors in containers of up to 45 kilograms of capacity, for the product destined for the Home Program.
The renewal of the assistance was announced at a time when the nucleated fractionators in the Argentine Chamber of Liquefied Gas Companies (Cegla) assured that they are operating at a loss.
In this regard, the entity indicated that currently a 10-kilo bottle costs, on average, $424, but the sale value on the platform is $236.
“We have a cost structure that cannot be covered with these amounts. We need the reference price for installments and for the other stages to be updated every six months, in accordance with the provisions of Law 26,020”claimed the president of the entity, Pedro Cascales.
Cegla warned that “the current value of the cylinder is one of the lowest in the region along with those of Bolivia and Ecuador, countries that have highly subsidized bottled gas prices, but it is also lower than the equivalents paid by other types of energy in Argentina”.
In this regard, he argued that a 10-kilo bottle should cost $2,928 for an equivalent consumption of electricity in the city of Córdoba, $2,082 if the comparison is with the electricity of San Miguel de Tucumán and $1,851 if it were with the province of Córdoba. Buenos Aires.
The Hogar Program was created by decree 470 of March 30, 2015 and its financing was established through the trust fund to meet the needs of LPG in low-income sectors and for the expansion of natural gas networks, which had been established ten years earlier with Law 26,020.
The subsidies allocated to this trust fund amounted to $6,339 million in 2019, $8,592.6 million in 2020 and $19,124.1 million in 2021, according to reports from the Argentine Association of Budget and Public Financial Administration (ASAP).
