An Austrian company calls back a spread. The cream cheese was “yes!” driven out.
Again and again there are dangerous mistakes in the production of food. This year alone there were 198 reports on the portal. These warnings concern needs or cosmetic means. Much of them refers to food, the consumption of which can sometimes be harmful to health.
Possible reasons for the recall of a product can be, for example: pathogens, contamination, insect infestation or foreign body. However, there is not always a direct danger for consumers.
Callback from “Yes!”-spread
According to a message “for reasons of preventive consumer protection”, the Berglandmilch company is currently warning of one of its products:
- Yes! Graned cream cheese 0.1 percent 200 grams
- Minimum preservation date (MHD): 11.08.2025
- EAN code: 43 37256 94458 8
Due to a possible contamination with parts of a metal wire, the article is not suitable for consumption. Due to a technical frailty, it cannot be ruled out that parts of this metal wire could be in the product concerned. Customers should therefore not consume the product.
Article no longer available in stores
As a preventive measure, the product concerned has already been taken out of sale and is no longer available, according to the manufacturer. The product is not suitable for consumption and bends are returned at any time. The purchase price will also be reimbursed without a purchase receipt.
The callback is “as a precaution from responsibility for the health of consumers and to ensure the safe use of the products,” it says.
