The city has already returned $ 10,000 million to taxpayers for gross income

More than 13,000 Buenos Aires taxpayers have already managed to recover their Balances in favor (SAF) generated by the Gross Income Tax, thanks to the new digital system implemented by the Government Public Income Agency (AGIP) of the City of Buenos Aires. In just 48 business hoursreimbursements were made with an average amount of $ 785,000 per taxpayera significant improvement regarding the times demanded by the previous procedure.

It is a 100% online tool that aims to simplify and accelerate access to the balances available for neighbors, shops and SMEs, in an economic context where liquidity is key to the support of the activity.

How to request the express return of gross income

The procedure to request the return of the SAF is agile and can be carried out in a few steps from the official AGIP platform:

Once the process is finished, if the system does not detect inconsistencies, the reimbursement is automatically accredited within a maximum period of 96 business hours. In many cases, the deposit is carried out even within the first 48 hours, which positions the mechanism as one of the most agile in the country in terms of tax returns.

A substantial improvement against the old system

The new system replaces the previous procedure that was carried out through the Remote process (tad)which could take up to three months. Within that framework, AGIP managed to cut the waiting times and reduce the bureaucracy, which represents a financial relief for thousands of monotributistas, professionals, merchants and small businesses that operate within the regime of gross income.

The measure is part of a tax modernization package that the Buenos Aires government has been promoting in recent years, with the aim of facilitating the relationship between the treasury and taxpayers, reducing administrative times and improving the efficiency of the collection and return system.

With this policy, the city seeks to promote a more balanced fiscal scheme, where unnecessary accumulations of balances are avoided and the flow of funds within the private sector is enhanced.
