Records at Siemens Energy
Two years ago, Siemens Energy put deep in the crisis, a year ago the group still wrote red numbers, now the business is running. And the workforce grows.
Despite the burdens of the US tariffs and its still weakening wind turbines, Siemens Energy is on the way to the perhaps best financial year in its history. Also in the third quarter, which goes at the Munich energy technology group from April to June, a solid profit of 697 million euros was incurred. In the same period last year, there was still a loss of 102 million. In addition, the company reports records when receiving the order and order inventory.
Energy currently benefited from a special effect of around half a billion, but even without him there would have been a clear profit in the quarter – as in the two before. If you look at the first nine months of the financial year that has already been introduced, there is now an increase of 1.45 billion. This is a little less than at the same time a year ago – at that time Energy owed the positive development to a single special effect of more than 1.7 billion euros.
Now the black numbers are above all a result of the fact that all areas in addition to the still deeply deficient wind power bring strong results and cut it off significantly better than a year ago. Above all, the business with gas and network technology hums.
Even without special effects, Siemens Energy wants to earn up to one billion euros after taxes in the current year. The group has also confirmed this significantly increased forecast in the meantime – and currently sees itself even on the way to the upper end of this range.
Siemens Energy also suffers from the US tariffs. In addition, currency effects pressed the order stock, which nevertheless rose to the record of 136 billion euros. This was mainly due to the fact that the group reported a record of 16.6 billion euros in the orders, which he owes two major orders at Siemens Gamesa in the offshore area. The order input was 1.7 times the turnover of 9.7 billion.
The better business at the former crisis company is also noticeable at the workforce. This is now located with 102,000 employees, 27,000 of them in Germany. That is around 3,000 and 1,000 more than a year ago.
