Ministry of Finance wants to facilitate private investments

The Ministry of Finance wants to improve the access of companies to financing. This is primarily aimed at young startup companies and the infrastructure.

The Federal Ministry of Finance plans a bundle of measures to facilitate financing in Germany. The aim is more private investments, especially in infrastructure and renewable energies. The ministry initiated the departmental vote for a draft law to promote private investments and the financial location. The draft is available to the German Press Agency.

“Improved access from companies to financing is of crucial importance for innovations, private investments and economic growth as a whole,” says the design of the house of department head Lars Klingbeil (SPD). In particular, the financing options for young, dynamic companies should be improved. This also includes tax law framework.

Eliminate investment obstacles for funds

Another goal, according to the draft, is to enable investments in infrastructure and renewable energies to a greater extent. In view of the enormous investment requirement in these areas, it is important to create a legally secure framework in order to implement urgently needed projects.

Concrete changes to the investment tax law and the investment network book are planned. For funds, obstacles are to be eliminated in infrastructure and renewable energies.

Merz: A large part of the necessary investment must be done privately

Bundestag and the Federal Council have decided on a 500 billion heavy special fund for additional state investments in infrastructure and climate protection. Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) said almost four weeks ago after a meeting with top managers of a corporate initiative, more public investments could be enormously reinforced by private capital. Only a part of the necessary investments can be made by the state, a large part must be done privately.
