The measure, formalized by decree 584/2025, redefines the powers of the control agency and establishes a new operating scheme under the orbit of the Ministry of Economy.
Through Decree 584/2025, published today in the Official Gazette, the National Executive Power resolved the Dissolution of the National Transport Regulation Commission (CNRT) and its replacement for the Concessions and Public Transportation Control Agency, a decentralized agency that will operate in the scope of the Ministry of Transportation dependent on the Ministry of Economy.
The decree establishes that the agency will be in charge of legal and institutional representation, the General Directorate and the Economic, financial and patrimonial management. The norm also empowers the agency to accept inheritances, legacies and donations, and to enter into contracts and agreements with public and private bodies, both from the country and abroad.
