“In the morning hours today, I informed the bodies of the Joint Stock Company Russian Railways RZD that I was resigning my mandate on the Board of Directors with immediate effect,” Kern said, according to “Standard”. “As of last night, RZD has actually become part of war logistics. According to the newspaper, Kern, who started working at RZD when he was still head of the Social Democrats, emphasized that he had fulfilled the supervisory board task out of interest in the content. But in view of the current events, there is unfortunately no alternative to this decision. “My thoughts are with the victims of this senseless aggression,” Kern said.
