In 2019, of the total subsidies for public passenger transport in the City, the Buenos Aires government absorbed 81% and the national government 19%.
Since 2020, when the Compensation Fund begins to operate, the City finances 51% and the Nation 49%.
In the same 2020, the province of Buenos Aires began to finance 91% of its automotive transport system and the Nation 9%.
The national government has already advanced in the signing of the Compensation Fund for January, February and March 2022 with five provinces: Buenos Aires, Catamarca, Chubut, Entre Ríos and Tucumán, ratifying the public policy that has as its axis federalism and equitable distribution in the distribution of resources to all provinces in the interior of the country with the aim of guaranteeing efficient and quality public transport.
