The minister criticized the repeal of key norms, while highlighted the need for structural reforms in organizations such as road and INTA.

During the 46th Annual Convention of the Argentine Institute of Finance Executives (IAEF)held at the Llao Llao hotel, Federico SturzeneggerMinister of Dregulation and Transformation of the State, directly linked the recent rise of the country risk to the performance of the Congress and questioned the legislative measures that, according to him, hinder government management.

In the midst of its exhibition, Sturzenegger said that the country’s economic foundations do not justify a country risk that exceeded 900 basic points according to JPMorgan: “It is not the numbers that generate this level of risk, but politics. That is the real risk behind the indicator,” he said, adding that the next elections will mark the possibility of “shielding vetoes” and recovering stability.

The minister also led to the Convention a Detail of the National Road Organizationprinted in 60 meters of A4 leaves, with the aim of illustrating what considers a bureaucratic excess: 5,000 employees, 1,500 are hierarchical and another 1,500 primary delegates, while only a minimum part of the country’s road network is maintained. He explained that, with the delegated decree, audits were sought to outsource and outsourcing maintenance to guarantee efficiency and transparency in the use of public funds.

Sturzenegger harshly criticized Parliament’s response: “No deputy requested the technical report. No senator. The decree dropped, which means continuing to pay hierarchical charges while the money deviates to the bureaucracy and does not reach the routes.” As indicated, the repeal of the decree also implied the elimination of standards related to the INTA AND THE ROAD STRUCTUREsituation that required the issuance of a DNU by the Executive to correct the legislative error.

In his speech, the official also questioned laws that increase expenditure without financing, such as disability pensions, and assured that this type of parliamentary pressure will end after October 26.

Sturzenegger’s closure had a more personal and political tone: he called those present to commit to the structural change of the State not by self -interest, but “for convictions and our children.” He stressed that President Javier Milei maintains “an inlacudicable conviction to modify this system”, reaffirming the message of continuity and reform of the government before an auditorium groaned by financial executives.
