The consumer price index (CPI) increased by the same proportion as in July. Adjustments in regulated prices pressed up.
General inflation was again 1.9% in Augustas in July. The adjustments in the prices regulated by the Government explained most of the increases, while seasonal factors traced down.

The regulated price division showed a 2.7% increase in the eighth month of the year, against 2.3% of the previous month. As a reflection of this, the item that threw more price auction was that of Transport (+3.6%)following fuel settings.


The other items that increased above the consumer price index (CPI) were general were alcoholic and tobacco (+3.6%), restaurants and hotels (+3.4%), housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+2.7%), education (+2.2%) and communication (+1.9%). Here they also had variations in regulated such as public services rates.
Seasonal prices fell 0.4%, but core inflation accelerated
Below the average they rose: health (+1.7%), food and non -alcoholic beverages (+1.4%), home equipment and maintenance (+0.9%), recreation and culture (+0.5%). While, clothing and footwear showed a negative variation (-0.3%), within the framework of the change of station and commercial opening.
