Luxury trips are becoming more popular and all-inclusive reaches record: Why Greece and Turkey are very popular with comfort vacationers-and what this means for long-distance trips.

Around the summer holidays, the second largest German tour operator Destour observes a trend of its customers towards luxury and all-inclusive. With a 15 percent growing demand, luxury trips become more popular, as the company with its sister brands ITS, Meier’s world tours and Travelix Last reports. The all-inclusive area also came to a record high. The months were evaluated from June to the end of September compared to the same period last year.



On luxury trips, customers would particularly value privacy, design, authenticity and sustainability. Most traveled to Greece, 21 percent more than in the previous year. Spain and Germany follow. With growth of 30 percent, the latter is one of the most growing luxury goals. Most summer vacations were booked in January.

All-inclusive everyone is popular


For the summer vacation 2025, more than half of the holidaymakers opted for an all-round carefree catering package. As announced by the tour, the all-inclusive option with an increase of two percentage points achieved a record high of 57 percent.

Turkey is still one of the most popular destinations at 23 percent. Spain and Greece follow. Germany is replaced by 23 percent of Egypt from fourth place. The travel company justifies this with the attractive price-performance ratio. Only eleven percent chose a long -distance trip. The proportion of long -distance trips decreased by one percentage point.

Overall, the company is satisfied with the stable number of guests. The competing travel group TUI said for the summer business in the organizer area, around two percent fewer guests than in the previous year, in Germany even five percent less.
