The government officially made a New increase in electricity and gas rates which will impact users of the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA) and rest of the country. The measure was implemented by resolutions of the National Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE) and of the National Gas Regulatory Entity (Enargas), within the framework of the monthly securities update policy defined by the Ministry of Economy.

In the case of electricity, the Resolution 694/2025 established an increase of 3.07% in the own cost of distribution (CPD) of Edesur Regarding September, while the Resolution 695/2025 set an increase of 3.13% to Edenor. Both adjustments arise from the application of the monthly indexation formula that weight in 67% of the wholesale internal price index (IPIM) and in 33% the consumer price index (CPI), in accordance with the data published by INDEC.


Wholesale adjustments and distribution values
To these increases are added the variations of wholesale prices of electricity, defined in the Seasonal energy price (pest) and in the seasonal price of high voltage transport (PEAT), which for October records a decrease of 0.22% and an increase of 7.12%respectively.
