The Government authorized prepaid medicine companies an increase for March. According to the provisions of Resolution 459/2022, health providers are authorized to increase “up to 6% as of March 1, 2022 and up to 6% as of April 1, 2022”. In this way, the update can reach 12% in total. This is the first increase in the year, since in February the prepaid increased by 9% – last increase 2021 – which responded to an agreement between the companies in the sector and the government last August.

At the beginning of the school year, parents will feel in their pocket not only the increases in school supplies but also in the monthly fee. According to the schedule of increases established by the Buenos Aires government, private schools with state subsidies will have an increase of 17% in March. In this way, the global increase of 50% since March last year will be completed.
Although the prices of the fees are dissimilar with respect to the type of school and the percentage of subsidy, for an average school the fees would go from $11,636 for single-day garden rooms to $13,614 per month. In the Province of Buenos Aires, private education had a rise of between 6.7% and 6.9% in the last month of 2021, while in March, the update will reach 11.8%. In this way, in the Province of Buenos Aires, private education will have a lower increase than in the City of Buenos Aires, around 40%.

In the midst of the debate over the Rental Law, some tenants are already beginning to negotiate the adjustments to the contracts that must be renewed in March. Thus, a tenant who in March 2021 paid $41,067 to rent an apartment in Palermo (average price according to ZonaProp) will pay almost $63,000 per month over the next year, until the price has to be adjusted again. In the same way, those who started a contract in March 2021 in Caballito, when the average rental price was $33,683, with the 53% increase, will pay $51,534.
Domestic workers
The contributions and contributions of domestic service personnel will have an increase of 12%. It should be noted that said increase will be applied to the amounts established in May 2021.
What happened to fuels?
The national government postponed increases in taxes on Liquid Fuels (ICL) and Carbon Dioxide (IDC) to avoid the impact on inflation. In this way, according to the Official Gazette, the levies that were to be increased as of February 28 will remain unchanged until June 1.
