In retail chains, the demand for a number of categories of household appliances and electronics has grown three to five times, calculated in the Mobile Research Group. People are afraid of losing their savings in the current situation, they buy everything for “live” money, without loans and installments, said Eldar Murtazin, a leading analyst at the company.
In DNS, demand has nearly doubled, CEO Dmitry Alekseev said on his Facebook account.
Svyaznoy recorded an increase in sales from February 23 to February 25 compared to the period from February 16 to February 18 by 17% in units and by 53% in money, said Alexei Vukolov, senior vice president for commercial and operational activities of the retailer.
Portable speakers (+85%), laptops (+77%), tablets (+32%), smartphones (+30%), smartwatches and bracelets (+29%) showed the highest growth, he says.
At the same time, commodity prices have already jumped by 15-30% due to the revaluation of the dollar in a number of retail chains, Eldar Murtazin told Izvestia at the end of last week. So, in the DNS they grew by almost a third.
“Now the growth is up to 30%. And we can not say that it will not be in the future. We found ourselves in a new world, where, in addition to the growth of the exchange rate, technological sanctions have been introduced, and it is not yet clear how the supply of a large list of goods will take place, ”Dmitry Alekseev said on Facebook.
