At the supervisory board meeting of the non-profit housing association Upper Austria Wohnbau, the expected change in management took place on Monday. The two long-time managing directors Markus Rosinger and Ferdinand Hochleitner were dismissed. They have to make room for the managing director of Real-Treuhand Projekt und Bauträger GmbH, Jürgen Harich (47), and the previous Deputy Mayor of Linz, Bernhard Baier (47).

As reported, the transfer was preceded by long disputes between Hochleitner and Rosinger, which had strained the patience of the owners (Provincial VP and Raiffeisen Upper Austria) unduly.
While for Baier, who sits on a VP ticket and has worked in public service and politics since his studies, residential construction is largely new territory, Harich has been working in the construction business of RLB for 20 years, has been managing director and lecturer for 17 years at the Johannes Kepler University, at the Wifi and in the Bauakademie. The Blumau Tower, the office building on OK-Platz in Linz and 75 rental apartments in Urfahr were built under his aegis. He was also involved in the development of the new RLB headquarters.
OÖ Wohnbau employs 165 people and manages around 25,500 residential units. This makes it the largest non-profit organization in Upper Austria that does not belong to the public sector.
