The Ministry of Economy enabled the company Arauco Solar Aimogasta SAU as the generating agent of the Wholesale Electricity Market for its 5 MW photovoltaic park located in the Arauco department.
The Secretary of Energydependent on the Ministry of Economy, authorized entry to the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM) of the company Arauco Solar Aimogasta SAU as generating agent for your Aimogasta Solar I Photovoltaic Solar Parkwith an installed power of 5 megawatts (MW).
The venture is located in Arauco department, province of La Riojaand it will connect to Argentine Interconnection System (SADI) at the level of 33 kilovolts (kV)on the Aimogasta–Arauco line, under the jurisdiction of the Electricity Distribution Company of La Rioja (Edelar).
According to Resolution 395/2025 published this Friday in the Official Gazette, the measure was adopted after CAMMESA verified that the company complied with the technical and administrative requirements demanded within the framework of the “Procedures for Operation Programming, Load Dispatch and Price Calculation in the MEM”.
The La Rioja Environment Secretariat had previously approved the Environmental Impact Study of the project. Furthermore, the standard instructs CAMMESA to cost overruns or penalties derived from possible unavailability are charged to the company that owns the solar park.
The resolution bears the signature of the Secretary of Energy, María Carmen Tettamanti.
