The conclave will be attended by heads of multinational firms from different sectors: automotive, agro-industrial and software, among others, who will offer their support to the agreement. Apart from the agreement with the international credit organization, the Government will deal with the private sector on strategies to reduce inflation. In this sense, it seeks to align expectations to put a brake on the inertial component. There is even talk of a salary guideline of around 40% and an agreement on prices and salaries. Development policies will also be discussed, such as the promotion of the knowledge economy.
These types of meetings have been taking place since last year. Directors of multinational companies sit at the multisectoral table. The support of this segment is especially important for the IMF because it shows “internal and external cohesion when implementing the agreed program.” In the executive, they point out that they will also add union representatives in the next instances.
In Congress, starting Tuesday, there will also be a presence of the private sector.
