This is one of the core statements of a survey conducted by the personnel consultancy Schulmeister in cooperation with the Vienna Controller Institute. 824 managers and specialists from finance, accounting and controlling took part.
59 percent of them are satisfied with their work culture. The work culture is also likely to change in many companies: 89 percent say that mistakes are forgiven. 71 percent speak of a good culture of knowledge sharing. The corona pandemic was the driver for this development: 78 percent say that the progress towards a new working world would otherwise have been significantly less.
“Search increasingly difficult”
“The mood is good, the respondents under 30 are the most satisfied. This also means that many specialists are not willing to change,” says Ulrike Steiner, managing partner of Schulmeister’s Linz location with seven employees.
At the same time, numerous financial organizations want to increase the number of employees. “The search is a challenge,” says Steiner.
Schulmeister specializes in finding employees for the areas of finance, controlling and accounting: We are also looking for employees for treasury departments, tax experts and managers. The Linz location has existed since 2000. Around 600 positions were filled throughout Austria in 2021. (prel)
