“This was possible from the active policies promoted by Governor Axel Kicillof to increase public investment and favor the productive reconstruction of the Province,” added the provincial official.
Girard indicated that “in the last two years, from ARBA we have advanced in a tax simplification scheme, we managed to improve progressivity and reduce the tax and financial burden on SMEs and taxpayers who most needed our support.”
The head of the organization stressed that “all of this was complemented with an intensification of inspections in concentrated and high-income sectors,” and said that in this way “an improvement in collectability and favorable results were achieved both in the fight against tax evasion and in debt recovery”.
These sets of actions added to the dynamism of economic activity had an impact, above all, on the Gross Income Tax, which collected $59,649.7 million in February, with a growth of 59.6% compared to 2021.
If the interannual variation registered in the level of domestic prices is considered, which reached 52.4%, the rise in Gross Income reached 4.7% measured in real terms, they indicated from the Collection Agency.
Regarding Stamps, another tax linked to the level of activity, in February it totaled $6,850 million, with an increase of 56.5% which, compared to the price index, also represents a real improvement of 2.7%, which was mainly sustained by the recovery of consumption levels.
That real increase exhibited by these Buenos Aires taxes could not be seen in the collection as a whole, because this year there were changes in the expiration dates of property taxes, it was indicated.
As a consequence of these alterations, the first annual installment and payment of Automotive, which in 2021 expired in January (impacting the income of that month and also of February), will now only operate in March.
The modification of the fiscal calendar then affected the collection of February, with regard to Motor Vehicles and Sports Vessels, which contributed only $1,633.7 million, with a negative interannual variation of 64%.
The Real Estate Tax in all its plants collected $16,155.8 million in February, with a year-on-year increase of 58.6%, which reflects the impact of the payment of the 1st and annual installment corresponding to Urban Buildings and Vacant Land, which recently expired. Meanwhile, regularization plans totaled $1,735.7 million and other tax revenues added $95.4 million.
In the first two months of the year, the collection of the province of Buenos Aires totaled $161,897.1 million, which represents an increase of 41.2% compared to the same period in 2021.
Gross Income accumulated during January and February $123,257.4 million, with an increase of 59.5%; while Stamps contributed $14,204 million, which implies a rise of 60.5%.
Meanwhile, the Real Estate Tax totaled $17,236.8 million, with a growth of 55.1%; and for Motor Vehicles and Sports Vessels, $3,264.2 million were collected, with a drop of 77.1% that is explained by the changes implemented in the Buenos Aires fiscal calendar.
The regularization plans provided $3,603.6 million and other tax revenues contributed $330.9 million so far in 2022.
