Bayer ratified investments for US0 million in Argentine agriculture

“We ratify our long-term commitment in Argentina with investments aimed at new developments and improvements in industrial and management processes to provide producers with customized solutions, so that they can plant and protect their crops using fewer natural resources with the power of digitalization”highlighted the executive director for the Bayer Group in the Southern Cone, Juan Farinati.

An important portion of this investment plan is destined to produce more competitive technologies and expand corn seed processing capacity of the María Eugenia Plant, in the Buenos Aires town of Rojas, considered the largest in the world.

At the Zárate Plant, also located in the province of Buenos Aires, Bayer is advancing in the local manufacture of eight crop protection products that historically came from other countries, of which three are already being developed at the national level and it is expected that in the coming months progress will be made with the rest.

Likewise, the company advances in the reduction in the use of plastics and water through the incorporation into the market of the IBC (Industrial Bulk Container) container, Bayer’s first reusable phytosanitary product of 1,000 liters, which allows a 95% reduction in the consumption of plastics and eliminates the use of washing water.
