We have already been talking with the minister (Kulfas) for several months to make a possible announcement, that we are close to closing it, to continue investing in the country in labor, in more pieces, bring a lot of innovation and production here in the country”.

The annual report for 2021 of the Association of Automotive Factories (ADEFA) recorded that 434,753 vehicles were produced in the country, between cars and light commercials. As if to understand the importance of number, volume is a 69% higher than that registered in 2020, when 257,187 units were manufactured.
The forecasts made by ADEFA for this year point to an increase in 28.3% in the production of automobiles and 34.3% in exports compared to 2021.
And the latest official figures reflect that growth continues on the right track. Already in February of this year, the production of cars amounted to 37,661 units, which marked a growth of 101.9% compared to the previous month and 72.7% compared to February 2021, when 21,809 had been produced.
This new rise made it possible to close the first two months of 2022 with a solid growth of 22.1% compared to the same period last year. In those first two months of the year, in addition, exports grew 8.7%.
