Numerous local companies have already taken their chance and applied for the country’s largest business prize, the Pegasus: Among them, for example, is the start-up CortExplore from Linz, led by the neuroscientist Stefan Schaffelhofer: In order to be able to plan, simulate and carry out surgical interventions on the brain, a navigation system was developed that works with camera and visualization technologies based on radiological images. CortExplore scores opportunities in the Future Hopes category.
Pooldoktor, another Linz company, submitted in the “Innovation Kaiser” category: the company with a managing director Berthold Schickmayr specializes in expert advice for self-build swimming pools and wellness facilities. With the “Miracle Stone” there is a new product in the portfolio. The installation of the pools is simplified, 600 projects could be completed in the previous year.
