Since 2007, the year Rasperia joined the Strabag Group, the Haselsteiner Private Foundation has had a syndicate agreement with Rasperia, which is registered in Cyprus, and Raiffeisen/Uniqa. “After all efforts to acquire the Russian share failed, the family foundation terminated the syndicate agreement,” says a press release.
The contract provided for an agreed procedure in the supervisory board and in the general meeting. Oleg Deripaska is one of the richest Russians, his company holds almost a third of the largest construction company
This is also welcomed with Strabag’s board of directors, because it would create clear conditions. In view of sanctions in Great Britain and Canada, no dividends would be paid to Rasperia. The activities in Russia, which only make up a minimal proportion of the overall business, would be wound up, says CEO Thomas Birtel
